The Gift in the Mess

A new to me, yet ancient remedy, left on my night stand next to a cherished book, a strange experience putting oil in your eyes, i neglected to cap the medicine tightly and my night time pillow wrestling knocked it over. After cleaning up the morning mess, including the special to me book jacket disappointingly ruined, later, i’m pleasantly surprised by noting the book without the jacket. i know i examined the book thoroughly when it arrived, took the jacket off and inspected its details, yet i don’t recall this feature i’m now enjoying. As i find myself pleasantly surprised, it eases the self incrimination for neglecting to screw the top on my remedy. This unexpected discovery of a sweet design feature, a gift easing the disappointing consequences of my over sight, once again reminding me to let go.
