Day 183 Cresting

Today is cresting over the halfway mark, 183 is just over halfway to having drawn every day for 365 days. Feels like i’ve got a good groove on so i’ll keep going and see what it turns into… next step on the art front is to make time to work back into the drawings and explore more lions and labyrinths.  Feeling happy to have gotten the blog up and though there are plenty of details to refine, i can share here to keep the flow going!

Cresting, oh the thrill when in my kayak, i see a wake from the tide coming into the shallows of the cove, near the mouth of the creek, it bumps up, you race to catch it and there if you time it right,  that sweet spot on top of the wave crests and you ride it out into the cove, circle back and catch another, and another, the fun of a gravity ride on nature, a crow with a plastic lid in its beak flies to the top of the roof puts it in the snow and rides down the roof using it as a sled, picks it up, flies to the top, hops on and rides it down again and again. Someone captured this on video, delighted to see this crow play with a can lid riding like an un-winged thing would, hoping to fleetingly feel what it’s like to fly. Yet, he has wings and how we wish to have wings and thus we catch a wave and ride the tide top melding with the energy, flying for a moment, cresting.
