Wings

Week 61: & Happy Puddle Splashes

This week had wings, i’ve been focused on getting the word out about my Haven Habits Workshop and wrestling with my least favorite part of my biz, ornery admin tasks.

The fun stuff…

i returned to open mic at Stone Valley Arts, a really sweet evening. i started going last year in order to take my Mom. She wasn’t up for it this time, so i decided to attend anyway. i hadn’t planned to read but at the last minute, took this short simple piece (in my new drawing just begun above). i signed up last, so was last to read.

it was a fortuitous wrap up, after several poets shared very beautiful and moving poems that dealt with grief from both personal and world circumstances. The shared vulnerability was palpable, the tears witnessed.

How right it seemed to end with my short simple piece about releasing, then being refreshed and happy puddle splashes that can return after releasing. i love it when things fall into place, as if it had been choreographed ahead of time, a little magic moment.

Can you think of a time when things just fell into place?

Thanks for reading and sharing with anyone you think would enjoy.
