Blazes & graces
Sometimes it’s good to break your streak, as good as it is to make a habit, its good to break it now and then too. A dear friend’s long anticipated appearance, had me gladly set my pencil aside not to miss the opportunity to catch up. i’m proudly not a multi-tasker.
So no new pub drawings this week.
Instead, i’ve returned to adding color to the line drawings of musician. which i find more challenging than the interiors. i’ll continue experimenting & maybe find a way.
& with the absence of pub drawings, i’m challenging myself to a stream on the spot:
Sky man up their floating around, dancing sky, so easy and light, so frothy and bright, bright lively hands glance across the keys, keys unlock something inside from the sound unwinds, unfurls, then gathering up again in a cozy bundle, a kitten purring and blinking
blinking, i pause wondering what’s next?
next, a sequence in time, something is pointing and alluring all at once, expanding and waving, a kid trying to get my attention, mischief peaking out from behind a curtain, jester spices the soup while the sounds come blazing in from the sky man.
Keep an eye out for the sky man this week!
Love the color and the stream. “Mischief peekingpeaking out from behind a curtain” great metaphor!
“Proudly not a multi-tasker” more wisdom shared. Good reminder to be present.
Thank you!
Thank you David! The feedback helps and is greatly appreciated! Piqued caught my interest too, but peaked won. A great threesome of words to play with.
