Horse Yet
Not a color one anyway & i’m not too fiery yet either.
A slow return to the weekly rhythm. i imagined having a color fiery horse drawing by 2/17 yesterday. Something else happened, among other diversions, i am in process with this not quite fiery red & orange bird & stayed with it.
Posting instead of a horse had me thinking about how sometimes what we think we see is not actually what we see. When you look in on how our brains and eyes work together to create what we see, a quite amazing process, the lesson of an illusionist becomes clear. We are quite easy to fool, true more often than than we typically realize.
& i think we will become more and more aware of that in the world up ahead. As media and ai converge as ai gets better.
Certainty is going to be challenged for a lot of humans & maybe that’s okay. If we are not so sure of what we are seeing and hearing, it provides a little check on our attachment to being right. Maybe as the world speeds up, we will have to slow down too. Get more curious, take more time to explore & to wonder openly.
It is a wild time to be alive!
& so in line with the fire horse energy and metaphor i’m enjoying. Yesterday, i did make two very quick sketches, just to make a tiny dent in beginning on the fire horse for Chinese New Year.
Sorry the quality is tough as they were so faint to photograph. & i am posting them to keep my feet to the fire, haha about making them. One flying solo and one of a group riding a ridge. No open mic drawings the last 2 weeks, more of those soon!
Thanks for being here! i think i’m a little closer to fiery than when i started writing this… i appreciate you!
