Moodo

Meter.

Or is it Mood-o-meter. Hmm i first made this as a silly drawing to help shift my mood. It did.

As i begin to work back into it, i notice that with the letters spaced differently, it could be a Moo Do Meter, to measure BS! i suppose it could do both simultaneously but it might need to have 2 intersecting needles. The higher my inner BS, the lower my mood…

Yes, some times ones mood-o-meter can fluctuate greatly. When encountering inner arguments, different parts of yourself with competing or conflicting needs.

Yes that feels right! No, No, No time for that…  tug of war… pile more on your plate, waist time with the inner tussle, the needle spins taking up mind space…

If you’re having an inner argument, how do you quell it and interrupt the time & energy drain?

Can you detect when fear is creating some inner BS? Parts showing up as excuses, distractions, procrastination. Sometimes its quite deceptive (BS parts) saying yes to things not so important that push important things off your plate. Creative resistance… fear in its many costumes…

Even when one has done plenty of work with parts, it doesn’t mean that you never have inner arguments. You do get better at detecting the fear under your own BS. It gets easier to spot, negotiate  with compassion, yes even for your inner BS. With practice you build resilience.

When your Moo do meter needle hits red, see if you can find some quiet. With permission for the inner conversation, ask:

What hidden part knows the answer?

What would it take to reveal itself?

What’s underneath the conflicting parts? When is yessing, BSing? When is NO, the real show?

What would it take for you to gently, but firmly say no to fear showing up as BS, so you can follow through on the yes that really matters?

Make it count!

My Favorite drawing from this week at open mic. Next week i’ll come back to color with completed 365 and  some pivot thoughts…

Have a great BS free 😉 week!
