Week 42: A Cozy Corner
The weeks rush by. Thanksgiving has passed, Winter is upon us.
i just started adding color to this cozy corner. The red bells are out, the Solstice and Christmas will arrive soon and then the new year.
i wonder what it will bring?
What will you wish for?
What will you celebrate?
i’m reminded of a friend who once told me that when she was a kid, she swallowed a small bell. Upon jumping up and down, disappointed her parents couldn’t hear it, they soon discovered what she’d done.
This story always makes me smile. i don’t often see a bell without being reminded of it. Now i wonder if the bell she ate infused her with some magic, a special ring & glow. She is a bright thought when she comes to mind.
With this little tale, i celebrate her and the wonder and innocence of a child who could eat a bell thinking it would make them jingle.
What if, you had a bell inside your belly…?
Thanks for joining me and sharing with anyone you think would enjoy.
What I lovely story, Lisa. I can just imagine the delightful innocence of the child and the horror of her parents upon knowing what she’d done. I love the idea of her being infused by magic by the bell. Maybe we could all imagine having a bell inside us that would jingle when we were having fun – perhaps we already do and we just need to take time to be playful enough to notice.
Thank you Alison, i think you may be right, it could just be that we all have belly bells that we can only hear when in a playful state of being.
