Big & Loose

Day 361 and 4 to go: Getting close to the end/beginning i decided to draw on bigger paper than usual for the last 10 days 13″x15″, nearly twice the size of much of the other paper i’ve been using. It’s interesting, different more challenging than i expected. 10×15 is not really that big? Today i felt tense and i was missing the loose quality from the early drawings. It was a relief to let go. Stream write: Big and loose, it’s a big gentle horse, you need to be loose, don’t grip the reins so tightly. You have to receive information, be able to respond with your body, you can’t do that when you’re clinging tightly, gripping. Gripping fast to a rope when climbing is essential, so you don’t slide down, burn your hands, slide down the snow bank thrust your hands in, cool the burns, fire burns to keep you warm after all the sliding down the snow bank is where we hold our money as long as we don’t let our head get too big and our pockets too loose.
