Week 33: Micro to Macro to Micro
Opposites & opportunities opening portals pointing to a preponderance of possibilities… Oppapop!
After the recent workshop i was in ended, i spent some time (more than one solid day like a mad dog on a bone) clearing out old writing, work, resources and reorganizing.
i may not have completed a book (yet) but i did get clear about some other relevant things. This clarity lead to a powerful desire to release all the old explorations and experiments. DONE with that! i chucked a lot of obsolete grist. 30 lbs of paper, yes i weighed it just for fun.
What a relief, releasing no longer relevant work from 20 years of business life. No more hanging on to “what if” ideas. What if that doesn’t work, i’ll try this… A plethora i’m no longer interested in. Writing this, it feels like letting go of some twisted resistance that was holding me back.
i have a clarity, i haven’t felt in a long time.
There have been times in my life where letting go of something brought clarity and other times, like now when the clarity facilitated letting go.
And then… Upon returning to Rosendale, i see an old print from the 90’s i’d rediscovered in the last year and pinned up.
i’d begun working back into it with color pencil. In my desire for a break from using the ipad to draw with, i may explore what’s new here that’s been ripening right there within this old print, So
i sift, letting go of old and gleaning the gems to polish and play with.
